Robust Multigrid for Maxwell's Equation

We consider a robust multigrid method for Maxwell's Equation in two dimensions. Under a number of simplifying assumptions, we prove robustness with respect to the behaviour of the coefficients in one coordinate direction and to the time-stepping parameter.

The proof gives rise to a modification in the algorithm that leads to better efficiency and to an improved convergence rate estimate.
