Carsten Carstensen, Kerstin Weinberg:Adaptive Mixed Finite Element Method for Reißner-Mindlin PlateMixed finite element methods are designed to overcome shear locking phenomena observed in the numerical treatment of Reißner-Mindlin plate models. In order to improve the approximation behaviour of stable finite element discretisations, automatic adaptive mesh-refining algorithms are an important tool in practice. In this paper, a reliable robust residual-based a posteriori error estimate is derived. The localised error indicators suggest an adaptive algorithm for automatic mesh refinement. Numerical examples prove the new scheme efficient.Mathematics Subject Classification (1991): 65 N 30 Keywords: mixed finite element methods, Rei\ss ner Mindlin plate, shear locking, reliability, a~posteriori error estimates, adaptive algorithm
