Algorithmics of discrete structures has developed in India and Germany to a strong field of research in computer science and discrete mathematics. The workshop will cover a number of different themes in the area of algorithmic and discrete mathematics, such as graph algorithms, combinatorial optimization, randomized and approximation algorithms, computational geometry, algorithmic algebra, number theory, and algorithm engineering. The workshop shall also be a starting point to launch new bi-national coordinated cooperations in the area of computer science (algorithms) and algorithmic discrete mathematics beyond existing bilateral scientific contacts.

Venue and Accommodation
The workshop takes place June 2 – 5, 2010 at Gustav-Stresemann-Institut Bonn (GSI). We take care of your accommodation at GSI.
Registration
Update: We received funding confirmation from DFG! You should now register. Please download the registration form (a plain ASCII file), fill out the relevant fields, and send it by e-mail to Lasse Kliemann (as attachment or e-mail text).
Each talk receives 25 minutes time, plus 5 minutes discussion.
As the scientific program starts on Wednesday, June 2 in the morning, we recommend arrival on Tuesday, June 1. The workshop will end with lunch on Saturday, June 5.
Travel Information
If you arrive on Tuesday June 1, the first night has to be spent not at GSI but at Maritim Hotel Königswinter, Rheinallee 3, 53639 Königswinter. We have booked a room there for you if you specified June 1 as your arrival date.
How to reach Maritim Hotel Königswinter
The hotel provides travel information.
The hotel is located approx. 15 km from Bonn Hbf (Bonn Central Station). You can take a taxi there, expected fare is approx. 26 EUR. Another option is to use the subway U66 from Bonn Central Station to station "Sealife Aquarium/Fähre".
If you arrive at Siegburg/Bonn, the distance is approx. 21 km to the hotel. The expected taxi fare is 35 EUR (most likely less).
We will drive to GSI together in the morning of Wednesday June 2, at about 9.30.
How to reach GSI
The GSI provides travel information.
Special information for those travelling by air to Germany: If you choose Frankfurt Airport as your destination, we recommend to take the train to Bonn Hbf (Bonn Central Station) or Siegburg/Bonn. Travel time to Bonn Hbf very much depends on the connection, ranging between approx. 70 and 140 minutes. Travel time to Siegburg/Bonn on a direct connection is only approx. 40 to 50 minutes. Your air and rail ticket may cover the train fare. The information system (English) of the Deutsche Bahn will help you to find a train connection. From Bonn Central Station or Siegburg/Bonn, follow the instructions of GSI to go by tram, or take a taxi from there to GSI. Expected taxi fare from Bonn Hbf is approx. 13 EUR (distance 5 km) and 35 EUR (distance 21 km), most likely less, from Siegburg/Bonn.
You can also fly to Köln-Bonn Airport. From Köln-Bonn Airport a shuttle bus is serving Bonn Hbf (Bonn Central Station). From Bonn Hbf we recommend to take a taxi to the conference venue (expected fare approx. 13 EUR, distance 5 km).
