Improper integrals and local integrals

For integrals $I$ given by an integral metric $q$ various types of (absolute) improper integrals are discussed. If $I$ and $q$ are equivalent on the elementary functions, such improper integrals turn out to coincide with Schäfke's lokal integral extension. Examples are abstract Riemann-$\mu$-, Loomis-, Lebesgue-$\mu$-, Daniell- and Bourbaki-integrals.
